What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

Tab Trade — The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

What You Trade On

Available: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.

FIX API is there for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker has no minimum.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

This is the area where this broker separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says something about priorities.

Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket offer execution like this.

Safety

Here is the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of your assessment.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: turnover conditions before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you commit.
